| Some of the aims of the Junior Cert Business Studies Syllabus are: |
| To develop in each student, methods of investigation, analysis and problem solving. |
| To provide each student with a level of economic/business literacy. |
| To develop in student skills of communication, use of technology and recording of information. |
| To enable students to apply business knowledge and skills to commercial aspects of their own lives & that of their households. |

| *1st Yr:All students study Business Studies. *2nd Yr:Students are offered Business Studies as an option subject for their Junior Certificate. *Statistics show that over 80% of our students choose Business Studies for their Junior Certificate *The exam covers in detail: The Business of Living, Economic Awareness, Enterprise, Information Technology. |
Students are offered three Business subects in 5th year. 1. Accounting 2. Business 3. Economics Student expolore all of these subjects in modules during the Transition Year Programme. |
| Projects | During the Junior cycle, class projects are completed by students to enhance
understanding of the course. In Transition Year, all students complete a vist to a company and do a project on the visit. |
